This is the website for the Women's Aid Federation of England.

It gives advice for women experiencing domestic violence as well as information on current national policies, campaigns and best practice.

This site offers information, facts and statistics concerning domestic violence in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

This is the website of the government's Women's Unit and gives information on current government policies and initiatives. Including a downloadable version of "Living without Fear", the document which sets out the government's domestic violence strategy.

This website, from the Home Office's Crime Reduction Team, offers detailed advice on tackling all sorts of crime. A domestic violence toolkit is, at time of print, under construction.

This is South Gloucestershire Council's website and gives a guide to council services, plans and initiatives including the Community Safety Strategy which has a section on Domestic Violence.

This is the Community Legal Service website (set up by the Legal Services Commission). It gives details of local solicitors.

This is the website of the local police force. It gives general information about the police force and crime. It also gives some advice specifically about domestic violence: search the index for domestic violence.

Bristol:
If you live in Bristol most of the agencies listed in the South Gloucestershire directory are still accessible and will be pleased to help you. Next Link is based in central Bristol, tel 0117 9250680.

Survive are based in South Gloucestershire but also cover most of Bristol, they can be contacted on 0117 961 2999.

People in Gloucestershire can access a network of advice and help through the Gloucestershire Domestic Violence Support and Advocacy Project They can be telephoned on 01452 500 115.


Bath and North East Somerset

North Somerset
If you live in North Somerset contact North Somerset Against Domestic Abuse (NADA) on 01934 627841 or The Women's Project on 01934 429811.
